The Plant Biology Meeting celebrates its fifteenth edition, a special edition because due to the health emergency it was held virtually. A virtual congress that brought together more than 350 people, with the presence of international researchers and more than 200 communications of the highest quality. A meeting with a great trajectory in the national panorama that trusted Sombradoble for its first online edition.
Sombradoble was in charge of all the technical organisation, brand design, corporate image and event management. We developed a videoconferencing system that allowed the celebration of parallel sessions during the two days of the congress, with moderation tools, attendance control and support and help to the participants. In addition to the congress website, which had an access control system to guarantee the security and privacy of congress data, a virtual gallery was generated for poster communications as well as interactive poster sessions. These interactive sessions allowed participants to interact freely with each other, generating small independent dialogue rooms that created an atmosphere like that of the face-to-face sessions.
The congress was a success, providing a safe, interactive, and very interesting experience as an alternative to face-to-face celebrations.
